    Crispy, gingery biscuits that smell of Christmas. Perfect for making into tree decorations with your children or grandchildren and hanging on your tree (out of the way of pets of course!).

    Apart from the fresh ingredients, everything you need is all in the box; your dry ingredients and your step by step guide to making your gingerbread tree decorations.

    Suitable for vegetarians (except for the sprinkles).

    What's in the kit?

    • Flour & ground ginger mix
    • Icing sugar
    • Christmas sprinkles

    • Ribbon

    Step-by step guide to making your gingerbread tree decorations:

    • Cream the butter, caster sugar and golden syrup together in a bowl until smooth.
    • Gradually sieve the flour and ginger mix into the wet ingredients, fold in and work the dough into a ball. Don’t overwork otherwise you’ll get hard biscuits!
    • On a floured surface, roll out your gingerbread dough to the thickness of a £1 coin.
    • Cut out as many biscuits as you can with your cutter and using your pen or straw, poke a hole at the top for your ribbon later.
    • Lay your biscuits onto the greased baking trays making sure you have plenty of space around each one because they will spread, place in the centre of the oven and bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
    • Remove from the oven and leave to cool on the tray. In the meantime, sieve the icing sugar into a little bowl, and add a tiny amount of water at a time until spoon-able but not runny. Spoon into your icing bag.
    • Decorate your biscuits as you fancy and add a few sprinkles to each one.
    • Lastly, cut your ribbon into as many pieces as you have biscuits, thread one piece through each hole and knot.
