As well as spending a lot of time in the commercial kitchen cooking for our wonderful customers, we still have three sons and my Mum at home to feed on a daily basis so sometimes, a helping hand in the kitchen is very welcome!
Looking for a time saving device, Marty and I found the Instant Pot Duo, a 7-in-1 Multi Pressure Cooker. A marvel it said, a life saver it said. Mmmmm, we thought, a tad sceptical, but how wrong could we be...
We purchased the Instant Pot about six months ago now and waited to see what we thought and test it properly before writing a review. All I can say is "WOW". The Instant Duo Pot frees up so much time and enables me to carry on doing other things whilst it gets on producing a fantastic meal for us all.

And it quite literally does what it says on the tin. I use the sauté option quite regularly for browning off meat and onions. But you can then continue using the same pot and add in vegetables, chopped tomatoes etc and have a delicious, tender, stew cooked in under an hour. The 'Keep Warm' button is brilliant for doing just that, ideal if you have people coming and going and can't all sit down at the table at the same time. Minimal washing up too!
One of our all time favourite dishes to make in the Instant Pot Duo is Rice Pudding. It's cooked to perfection in 20 minutes as opposed to hours in the oven and the taste is unbeatable.
So far, I would give the Instant Pot Duo a strong 9/10, and on a good day, 10/10! We could do with one slightly bigger due to the size of the family but for a family of perhaps 4-6, the available sizes would be more than adequate.
