    What's in the kit?

    • Dark chocolate
    • White & milk chocolate chips
    • Plain flour, golden caster sugar and cocoa powder mix
    • 20cm baking tray
    • Parchment paper

    Step-by step guide to making your triple chocolate brownies:

    • Melt the butter and dark chocolate together in a bowl, over a saucepan of simmering water. Stirring occasionally. Leave to cool.
    • Tip the flour and cocoa powder into a sieve held over a bowl. 
    • Break the eggs into another bowl and add the sugar. With an electric mixer, whisk the eggs and sugar for approx. 5 mins until really thick and creamy. 
    • Pour the cooled chocolate over the eggs and sugar mix, then gently fold together with a spatula. The idea is to marry them without knocking out the air, so be as gentle and slow.
    • Re-sieve the cocoa and flour mixture over the bowl of chocolate mix and gently fold in. The mixture will look dry and dusty at first but if you keep going very patiently, it will end up looking gungy and fudgy. Stop just before you feel you should, so as not to overdo it.
    • Finally, stir in the white and milk chocolate drops until they’re dotted throughout evenly.
    • Put the parchment into the baking tray. Pour the mixture into the prepared tin. Gently ease the mixture into the corners of the tin and level the surface gently.
    • Put in the oven for 25 mins. When the buzzer goes, gently shake the tin. If the brownie wobbles in the middle, it’s not quite done, so slide it back in and bake for another 5 minutes until the top has a shiny, papery crust and the sides are just beginning to come away from the tin. 
    • Leave in the tin until completely cold, then, lift out the brownie with the parchment. Cut into nine squares.

    They’ll keep in an airtight container for a good two weeks and in the freezer for up to a month – if they last that long!
