Who doesn't love a mince pie and to me, Mince Pies are an essential during the festive season. The smell of them cooking conjures up memories of Christmases past and make me feel a tingly warmth inside with anticipation for the forthcoming celebrations.

Granola bars make a great alternative to cereal at breakfast time or a snack when you're out and about. They are simple to make and you can always mix things up and bit by changing the seeds, nuts and dried fruit combinations that you add. Very versatile are these little beauties!

Christmas has definitely begun here at Sweet Things Savoury! It has been absolutely manic here so far this month because the Christmas Markets start tomorrow - hurray! We are so excited to be out and about again and able to see everyone again!

Sometimes, I think those simple bakes with a touch of je ne sais quoi are the best. Light, airy and simply delicious. Also ideal to accompany a cup of tea in the late afternoon when you just need that little pick me up. Lemon Drizzle Cake is certainly one of those types of cake in my book.

I don't know about you, but often if I have an admin day and am sitting at the computer for long periods of time processing orders, ordering deliveries and catching up with emails and customers, I get a bit peckish come 11 o'clock.

We purchased the Instant Pot about six months ago now and waited to see what we thought and test it properly before writing a review. All I can say is "WOW". The Instant Duo Pot frees up so much time and enables me to carry on doing other things whilst it gets on producing a fantastic meal for us all.

When the family was younger it always worried me, the thought of them brandishing knives around the kitchen, imagining a fun time would turn into a real horror scene. The safest way around this for my sanity was furnishing them with marker pens… yes, this could lead to another horror story but at least one not quite so dangerous.
